INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM UNDER THE THEME ” AGREEMENTS of PUBLIC and PRIVATE partnerships: SUCCESS, FAILURES AND SETTLEMENT OF THE DIFFERENTS»
Within the framework of laws promulgation, governing the public and private partnerships, the CIMAR (International Center of the mediation and the Arbitration in Rabat) and its partners, have organized January 14th and 15th, 2017, an international symposium under the topic “Public and private partnership contracts: Successes, failures, and regulation of the differents”, which was held in the campus of the International University of Agadir.
The conference objectives were to offer to the participants an opportunity to examine and identify the financial, administrative and legal problems, caused by the public projects management, through public and private partnership contracts, and also to develop theirs skills and improve their knowledge, based on the partnership contracts tools and different regulation, by legal and extrajudicial procedures (arbitration, mediation…).
Gathering more than 250 participants, this conference was led by administration professors and experts in investment, Arab, European and African MARCs. Guests counted among them: Arab centers of arbitration, international trade rooms, business and industry chambers, banks and insurance companies, lawyers, notaries, consulting firms, arbitration experts, governmental and private institutions and press.
In the January 12th and 13th, an arbitration workshop had preceded the conference. The topics were the following: arbitration differing in public and private partnership contracts, their legal nature, phase of negotiation, conclusion, control, and finally commitments.
